Employee Emotional Wellbeing Crisis Takes a Dangerous Turn
A LIS Workforce Listening Study: May 2021
Round three of our Workforce Listening study reveals that extreme concern for one’s own mental health has tripled in the past 12 months, now affecting 1 in 3 full time employees.
In addition to tracking the continuing impact of COVID-19 on the workforce, this survey dove deeper and looked further than the COVID-10 impact surveys we conducted in May 2020 and October 2020. To better understand the employee-employer relationship, the survey also collected comprehensive employee engagement and social justice indicators, as well as a deep dive into vaccination readiness.
The latest study finds a deteriorating employee outlook amidst a five-fold increase in fears about vulnerability to addiction. Despite a clear need for support, fewer than half of employers actively monitor employee emotional wellbeing. For employers, the study identifies key interventions that can be used to address these issues and reassure employees. Interested? Register to get the full study!
